🚲 Treadmill toll: In a shareholder letter released yesterday, Peloton announced it will be implementing a one-time $95 activation fee for used Peloton equipment. 📝 Call out: Two former OpenAI staffers wrote a letter urging Gavin Newsom to sign California's SB 1047, which looks to put AI guardrails in place. The letter also called out Sam Altman for being against the bill even though he's publicly touting that he wants AI regulation. Read more
🚫 Cut it off: Halliburton, one of the largest energy companies in the world, was hit by a cyberattack earlier this week. The company said it became aware of the incident on Wednesday and started shutting down select areas of the business in response. Read more
