Sleep devices were all over this year’s CES, India investigates Flipkart and Netflix receives an impressive 24 Oscar nominations. Here’s your Daily Crunch for January 13, 2020.

CES was a snoozefest

Brian Heater used a terrible pun headline for his exploration of a booming category in tech: namely, sleep.

At this year’s just-wrapped Consumer Electronics Show, sleep seemed to be everywhere, with devices falling into three broad categories — those designed to simply track sleep, those designed to train the brain into sleeping better and those designed to change the sleep environment.
