Ford buys electric scooter startup Spin Ford wants in on the scooter wars and announced it's acquiring the San Francisco startup Spin for around $100 million, according to a source close to the matter. The automotive giant has branched outside its core business recently, acquiring other mobility startups like commuter ridesharing company Chariot and Autonomic, a transportation analytics company. 2. White House shares manipulated Infowars video to justify CNN press ban The White House is using video footage that's been manipulated through a conspiracy theorist lens to justify a free speech-chilling ban on an actual journalist. Let that sink in. 3. Here's what Samsung's wacky folding phone looks like in action Samsung finally unveiled its "Infinity Flex Display" yesterday at the company's developer conference in San Francisco. Folded, it's a smartphone. Unfolded, it's a tablet. Neat! 4. Security flaw in DJI's website and apps exposed accounts to hackers and drone live feeds Security researchers have found it took drone maker DJI six months to properly fix a security vulnerability that gives hackers complete access to a drone owner's account. The good news is that it's unlikely that anyone independently discovered and exploited these vulnerabilities and DJI has praised its bug bounty program for uncovering the security flaw. 5. Facebook's Portal+ is a one-hit wonder Overall, Facebook's first piece of hardware is a head scratcher. While the device does bring some innovation to video chatting, there isn't much else that sets it apart from other smart displays. 6. Corporate travel startup TripActions raises $154M at $1B valuation One of the most well-funded travel startups in the Valley has raised yet another round that's pushed it into unicorn territory. Andreessen Horowitz co-founder Ben Horowitz will join TripActions' board of directors as part of the startup's $154 million in Series C funding. 7.
