Palm is back, Photoshop CC is coming to iPads and Amazon launches a site for "Shark Tank" products. Here's your Daily Crunch for October 15, 2018. 1. Palm returns as an 'ultra-mobile' smartphone While smartphones and (ugh) "phablets" seem to be getting bigger and bigger, the new Palm device goes in the opposite direction. It looks a lot like an iPhone, but with a 3.3-inch display and a $349 price tag. Meanwhile, the startup behind the phone has recruited basketball star Stephen Curry as an investor, and he's been incorporating the product into his off-season workouts. 2. Adobe is bringing Photoshop CC to the iPad Come 2019, you'll be able to retouch all of your images right on the iPad. And while it won't include every feature of the desktop app from the get-go, the company promises that it'll add them over time. 3. Saudi ally calls for Uber boycott over response to Khashoggi's vanishing Saudi Arabia has poured billions of dollars of investment into the company's ride-hailing business in recent years: Directly via Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, and indirectly because the Saudis are major investors in Softbank's Vision Fund. 4. Amazon debuts a retail site for 'Shark Tank' products The new deal allows Amazon to showcase past and future "Shark Tank" products on its website, and it comes with a $15,000 Amazon Web Services credit for each eligible "Shark Tank" entrepreneur. 5. The team behind 'First Man' aims to de-mythologize the space program According to screenwriter Josh Singer, the new film "is an argument for why to buck the trends and the criticism and the questions" around space travel. 6. Distributed kitchen service Pilotworks is shutting down The distributed kitchen service had raised $13 million in venture funding from investors including Campbell's Soup Co.'s investment arm. 7.
